My Elden Ring-Inspired Novel is Terrible (Here’s How I’m Going to Fix It)
When I started writing my new fantasy novel, The Shattered Ring, it was meant to be a lot of things. First it was going to be a standalone epic fantasy, then a political fantasy duology. A Darker Hero: Trèleris Assarion Reborn
Some of the inspirations for Trel, including Aragorn, Rand al'Thor, and the Dark Souls protagonist, with the Erdtree in the background. Going into what I hope will be the penultimate revisions of my novel, The Shattered Ring, one thing I intend to do is to create a new balance between Trèleris and Aranèle, two of the main protagonists. Episode 8 opens with a series of flashbacks into Maul’s history. Now, due to his mental state, Maul is an unreliable narrato

It’s 142.9k words, so about the length of LotR: The Two Towers. I’d love written feedback (a form will be attached) in a timely fashion (within 2-4 weeks preferred). If you’re interested, DM me or fill out the signup form here on my website! Trel is the last heir to the kingdom of Assaria.
